Kazakhstan continues to invest consistently in the development of human capital. President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev made this statement during the 38th plenary session of the Foreign Investors' Council held in Astana.
According to the President, two next-generation schools, TUMO and Tomorrow School, have been established at the Alem.ai International Center.
"In partnership with international organizations, including Telegram and Presight, we have established state-of-the-art research laboratories. Artificial intelligence is being widely integrated into Kazakhstan's education system. Recently, I signed a decree making AI a central element of the modernization of secondary education. AI will be introduced as a tool to enhance teachers' capabilities, not to replace them. The decree provides for the creation of personalized learning mechanisms, the strengthening of digital infrastructure, improvements to the regulatory framework, and the modernization of educational standards," the President said.
The Head of State also announced the launch of a pilot project that will later be expanded nationwide. The initiative aims to reduce the gap in education quality between urban and rural schools while ensuring that every child has access to high-quality education in the age of artificial intelligence.
"Artificial intelligence is becoming a decisive factor in the effectiveness of public administration. Kazakhstan is taking a proactive approach by building the institutional capacity needed to become a leader in this transformation. Recently, world-renowned AI expert and member of the Council for the Development of Artificial Intelligence, Dr. Lee Kai-Fu, conducted an AI training seminar for senior government officials at the Alem.ai International AI Center in Astana. The seminar focused on the strategic application of AI in public administration, including AI-driven operating models, AI agents, and the development of Kazakhstan's national AI technology stack. Regular training programs for civil servants will accelerate the adoption of AI technologies and improve the efficiency of public governance," Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said.
In addition, Kazakhstan is establishing the region's first specialized university dedicated to artificial intelligence.
"This unique university will become a center for advanced research, innovation, and the training of highly qualified professionals. By investing in education, talent, and technology, we are building a strong foundation for Kazakhstan's national artificial intelligence ecosystem," the President noted.
